Judith McAllister Obituary

Judith Ann McAllister, 77, peacefully on March 23, 2024, in Orlando, FL. Born on February 19, 1947, in Hoboken, where she lived for over 25 years, she was a resident of Hazlet, for over 30 years before moving to Winter Springs, FL 11 years ago. Judith lived a vibrant and loving life, filled with joy, music, and cherished moments with her family.

Pre-deceased by her parents, John and Emma Doneman, and her beloved husband Charles McAllister, Judith's legacy of warmth and kindness is carried forward by those she leaves behind. She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia McAllister Hicks (Matthew) and Judie McAllister Deacon (Richard); her grandchildren, Megan Emma Hicks and Benjamin Matthew Hicks; and her grand doggie, Leia. Her memory will also be treasured by many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and a multitude of friends whose lives she touched deeply.

Judith's educational journey was marked by her graduation from the Academy of the Sacred Heart and the Katherine Gibbs School, laying a foundation for her commitment to excellence and service. She began her professional life working at US Testing in Hoboken, but her true vocation was as a dedicated homemaker and business partner alongside her husband. Together, they built a life of love and support.

Her leadership and community spirit shone brightly as she took on the role of the first president of the American Legion Post 515 Ladies Auxiliary in Port Monmouth. Judith's unwavering support of veterans was further exemplified through her support of the VFW Post 2179 in Port Monmouth. Her faith was an integral part of her life, as evidenced by her active membership at St. Stephen's Catholic community in Winter Springs, FL.

Judith was a Disney aficionado, cherishing every moment spent within the magical realms of Disney World. Her love for gambling was matched only by her appreciation of music, with a particular fondness for the melodies of Engelbert Humperdinck and the tunes of the 50s and 60s. Judith reveled in the experience of live music and attended concerts.

Above all, Judith's favorite pastime was being surrounded by her family, sharing laughter and creating memories that would last a lifetime. Her absence will be felt deeply by all who knew her. Judith has left an indelible mark on the hearts of many and will be missed more than words can express.
