Obituary for C. Linda Cardenas

C. Linda Cardenas, 72, of Keansburg, passed away on Wednesday, January 23rd, at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. She was born in New York, lived in Newfoundland, prior to moving to Keansburg many years ago. Catherine was a waitress for the Ye Cottage Inn, Keyport. She enjoyed word finds and jumbles and loved horses, dogs and cooking for her family. Catherine is pre-deceased by her parents; Arthur and Catherine Stone; her brother, Arthur Stone; her daughter, Sharon Mercuris, and her cousin, Jean Leegood. She is survived by her daughter and son in-law; Cathy and James McAteer of Keansburg; her brother, Wayne Stone of California; her sister, Jean Stone of Staten Island, her grandson; Jimmy McAteer of Keansburg and her cousins; Michael Bosse, Rosanne, Dawn, Michael and Jonathan Bosse; and many other extended family. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday from 2-4pm at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Monmouth County SPCA at www.monmouthcountyspca.org/support/donate/ or call 732-542-0040. Letters of condolences can be sent to www.jacquelinemryanfh.com

Linda was a loving person. We had many a laugh together between painting the house inside to sharing Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. She will be missed and remembered always.
