Obituary for Charles Van Duysen

Charles Van Duysen, 74, of Holmdel, passed away on Sunday, January 5th, at Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel. He was born in Dendermonde, Belgium, raised in Newark, lived in Harrison and Keansburg, prior to moving to Holmdel a few months ago. Charles was a retired forklift operator for Canfield Metals. Charles enjoyed watching T.V. and going for walks, listening to doo wop music, going to car shows and Raceway Park. Charles' also loved NASCAR, Drag Racing and overall muscle cars. His greatest enjoyment was his family and being a father. Charles is survived by his loving wife of 55 years; Angel Van Duysen of Holmdel, a daughter; Michelle Van Duysen of Keansburg, two sons and daughter in-law; Richard and Donna Van Duysen of Freehold and Teddy Van Duysen of Keansburg; nine grandchildren; Krystal, Danielle, Nicolette, Jared, Justin, Kayla, Tyler, Madison and Shannon and two great grandchildren Bodhi and Emery. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Thursday, January 9th from 6-8 pm at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers the family will be accepting donation. Letters of condolences can be sent to www.jacquelinemryanfh.com
