Obituary for Diane M. Handel (Keating)

Diane M. (Keating) Handel, 72, of Middletown, passed away on Friday, April 10th, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. She was born and raised in Jersey City, prior to moving to Middletown 68 years ago. Diane was retired from IFF, Hazlet and worked in shipping and receiving. She was a member of the Altar Rosary Society, enjoyed walking on the beach and loved to go shopping. Her family will always cherish her loving memory. Diane is survived by her loving husband of 50 years; William Handel, of Middletown, a daughter; Jeanine Marie Handel-Vargas, of Middletown ,three sisters and brothers in-laws; Judy and Richard La Compte of California, Janet and John Sonick of Hazlet and Maureen and Charlie Hockey of Marlboro, a grandson; Christopher Michael Dolan, and many nieces and nephews. The family suggests if someone would like to make a donation in Diane’s name please send to St Jude https://www.stjude.org. A memorial service will be held at St. Catherine's Church on August 13, at 11am. Arrangements were under the direction of the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation will be private.
