Eileen P. Corcoran, 56, of Leonardo, passed away on Monday, July 29th, at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. She was born and raised in Keansburg, lived most of her life in Seattle, Washington, prior to moving to Leonardo two years ago. Eileen was in the US Army, she worked as a harm reductionist for the VNA of Asbury Park; she also worked on fishing boats. Eileen is what a true warrior is and what heroes are made of. She touched the lives of many and will continue to do so. Eileen truly made the world a better place- with her selfless acts, strong voice, and her force to be reckoned with. Her legacy will live on in many. From graduating with her master's, counseling, outreach or starting her own organization she was a VERY compassionate WOMAN who could relate to anyone and was jack of all trades. Her energy will spread like a wildfire. She modeled what compassion, dignity, loyalty and love for others. With obstacles of her own she shattered every stereotype out there-her life-long goal to prove EVERYONE WRONG!
