Obituary for Elizabeth "Betty" Wilson

Elizabeth “Betty” (nee Topolewski) Wilson, 82, of Port Monmouth, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 15th, surrounded by her loving family at home. She was born in Jersey City, lived in West Keansburg, prior to moving to Middletown in 1987. Betty worked as a telephone operator, for NJ Bell. She loved to play Bingo, go to Atlantic City, spending time with her family and friends; enjoyed going to second home in Florida, but her passion and true love was traveling and spending time with Bob. Elizabeth was pre-deceased by her loving husband, Robert “Bob” Wilson in 2010, and her daughter in-law, Kay in 1998, a brother, Chester Topolewski and a sister Barbara Topolewski; She is survived by her son and daughter in-law, Chet and Dawn Wilson of Port Monmouth; a daughter and son in-law, Dee and Jerry Williams of Connecticut; a brother Jay Topolewski; two sisters, Isabel Ganz of Hazlet and Deborah Sheehan of Toms River; six grandchildren, Bryan Jordan, Bailey, Shane, Robert and Geni; and four great grandchildren, Kayla, Bryen, Xsenia and Alexica. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday from 4pm to 8pm at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. On Wednesday there will be a 10 am mass held at St. Ann’s Church, Keansburg and the cremation will be private. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made in Bettys name to Wounded Worriers, St Jude or the Cystic Fibrosis foundation.
