Fredrick C. Landry Sr., 79, of Keansburg, passed away peacefully surrounded by family, on Thursday, May 30th. He was born in Manhattan, lived in Atlantic Highlands, prior to moving to Keansburg in 1970. Fredrick served in the US Navy during the Korean War; he was a machine operator for Lily Tulip and retired when they closed. He also was a member of the American Legion Post #723 of Keansburg; he enjoyed fishing and playing cards with family and friends. Fredrick also enjoyed gardening, he was known for his tomatoes and flowers. Fredrick was pre-deceased by his father; Clement Landry;his wife; Eileen Landry in 2001 and his two brothers; Dennis and Michael Landry. He is survived by his mother; Lillian Robison and his step-mother; Josie Landry; five sons and daughters in-law; Fredrick and Barbara Landry Jr., Vincent and Karen Landry, David and Emma Landry, Brian Landry and Daniel Landry; six daughters and sons in-law Theresa and Leonard Sanfilippo, Michele and Gary Amey, Sherry and Carl Panno, Eileen and Vincent DeRosa, Lisa and Joseph Squatriglia and Nicole Landry; his brother; Steven Landry; three sisters; Lillian “Penny” Fiore, Helene O’Rourke and Denise Auguste; twenty grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and his faithful dog; Shorty. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9pm at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation will be private.
