Obituary for Harvey Edward Boyce

On Saturday, July 27th 2019, Harvey Edward Boyce, husband and father of 10 children passed away at the age of 92 at his home in Spartanburg, South Carolina. Harvey was born to Charles E. and Beatrice L.Boyce on April 30th 1927 in Raritan Township, New Jersey. He was raised on his family’s farm and worked hard on the roadside stands, greenhouses, and in the fields. He served in the Merchant Marine near the end of World War II. He later worked for the Borough of Sayreville before he retired in 1989. Harvey enjoyed playing Country Music, gardening and air planes. He was a self taught guitar player and played the bass professionally for years. Harvey was pre-deceased by his wife Margaret, his brothers Lewis and Russel, and his sister Jean. He is survived by his sister Bernice Hathaway and his 10 children, 23 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial at Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg, N.J. on Saturday August 24th 2019 between 1:00pm and 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Special Olympics at www.SpecialOlympics.org/donate
