Obituary

Hugh B. Adams, 88, born in Brooklyn, NY; son of Alexander Kerr Adams and Jean Boag Adams. His dad passed away in 1942 at the age of 46. Mom moved family to Keansburg. Hugh attended K.P.S. and Leonardo High School; he entered the US Army and was trained as a rifleman and was sent to Korea. He was assigned to 1st Loud Speaker Co., where him and his team broadcasted nightly to Chinese troops, also in tactical situations. After cease fire he returned to Fort Dix as Platoon Sgt. and was honorably discharged. Hugh went to work for Anaconda Corp, Lilly Tulip and Monmouth Park as a Mutual Clerk. In 1976 transferred to Meadowlands and retired in 1994. His mother passed away in 1975. Former wife Eleanor passed away. Surviving is his loving daughter and son in-law; Loretta and Christopher Kenny Sr.; his grandson and his wife Christopher and Jessica Kenny Jr. and his great grandchild; Cooper Ryan Kenny. Hugh has many relatives across the US and Canada to many to mention. Hugh was a New York Giant and San Francisco Giant fan, for over 60 years. GO GIANTS! Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, March 11th, from 2-4 pm at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation will be private.
