Obituary for Justin R. Saloom

Justin R. Saloom, 20, of Manalapan, passed away on Tuesday, June 9th, at home. He was born Long Branch, lived in Keyport, prior to moving to Manalapan 10 years ago. Justin worked as a pool tech for Central Jersey Pools in Freehold. He enjoyed listening to music ,playing the guitar and ukulele, writing, traveling to new places, going to concerts, playing chess, photography, watching Rick and Morty, rescuing animals, Superman, but most of all loved being with family and friends. Justin is predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Sandra and Richard Saloom. He is survived by his mother, Rose Saloom of Manalapan and his father, Joseph Castro of Jackson; a sister Sandra Leahy of Manalapan; a brother, Zackery Lopez of Sayreville;; his paternal grandparents, Marie and Edwin Medina of Jackson and Joseph and Cornelia Castro of Brooklyn; his aunts, Beth and Pat; his uncles, Anthony, Andrew, George, Jim and Alex; his girlfriend Lexi and her family; the Micucci Family; and many other extended family and friends. Family is invited to pay their respects on Saturday, June 13 from 2-4 PM at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Avenue, Keansburg. A service will be at 3:30 PM and a private cremation will follow. In lieu of flowers donation can be made in Justin’s name to Hazlet’s Hope Network at https://www.hazletshopenetwork.site/.
