Angelina (Celi) Boden

Angelina C. Boden, 87, of Keansburg, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on July 2, 2023, in Nesconset, Long Island. Born on June 14, 1936, in Newark, New Jersey, Angelina was a beacon of love, strength, and resilience.

Angelina is predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Genevieve Celi; her husband, Joseph Boden, who passed away in 2003, and her brother, Patrick Celi. She leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication in her surviving family members. She is survived by her loving children, Arthur Boden of Keansburg, Angela Boden Scotti of Keansburg, Debra Dechert of Keansburg, Mary and Dr. Louis Scotti of Long Island, and Patti and Eric Ross of Florida. She also leaves behind her brother and sister-in-law, Phillip and Carmella Celi of Edison, seven cherished grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and fifty nieces and nephews. Each of them will remember her for her unwavering love and support.

Angelina had a long and fulfilling career at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, serving as a supervisor of housekeeping until her retirement in 1998. She was a dedicated professional who took pride in her work and made a positive impact on her colleagues and the patients she served.

Beyond her professional life, Angelina had a zest for life that was truly infectious. She was an avid bingo player and an active member of her bowling teams. Her love for gardening was evident in the beautiful blooms that graced her garden every season. Angelina was also a regular at the Hazlet Swim Club, where she enjoyed spending time with her friends. She loved traveling to Ft. Myers, Florida, but her greatest joy was found in spending time with her family. Her home was often filled with laughter, love, and the aroma of her delicious cooking.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, from 5 pm to 8 pm at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Avenue, Keansburg. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 9:30 am, Wednesday, July 12, 2023, at St. Catherine’s Church, 110 Bray Avenue, Middletown with a burial immediately following at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington
