Barbara A, (Schroeder) Roberts

Barbara A. Roberts, 51, of Keansburg, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, May 12th, at home. She was born in Newark and has been a life-long resident of Keansburg. Barbara was a housekeeper for Grace Park Assisted Living in Pennsylvania. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, (especially her meat sauce). Barbara loved animals, fishing, watching classic re-runs of TV shows and helping people. She was a devoted mother, wife and friend, she had the biggest heart. Barbara was pre deceased by her parents; James Schroeder Sr. in 2011 and Ilene Schroeder in 2013. Her son; Vincent Lee Roberts in 1998 and her brother; Vincent Hamlett. She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years; Brian Roberts of Keansburg, her son; Xavier Lee Roberts of Keansburg, her daughter; Tamara Marie Roberts of Hawaii, two brothers and sister in-law; James and Danielle Schroeder of Keansburg and Christopher Hamlett of Cedar Knolls, two sisters and brother in-law; Terry Vaner of Virginia and Doris and Terry Colyer of Pennsylvania. Many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, May 18th, from 4-7pm at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. In lieu of flowers please make donations to www.liverfoundation.org. Cremation will be private
