Charles Bartucci Obituary

Charles A. "Sonny" Bartucci, 74, a cherished father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend, passed away on June 14, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at his home in Port Monmouth. Born on November 24, 1950, in Jersey City, Sonny's journey took him from the streets of Hoboken to the community of Keansburg, and finally to the place he would call his home forever, Port Monmouth.

Sonny was a man who left an indelible mark on the lives of all who knew him. He was predeceased in death by his loving parents, Andrew and Marion Bartucci, his daughter, Kimberly Whalen; his six sisters, Marion Bartucci, Kimberly Bartucci, Renee Della-Bartucci, Barbara McCarthy, Carol Bartucci, and Michelle Sabo; his brother, David Bartucci; his longtime companion, Joanne Godette; and the mother of his children, Helen Whalen. He is survived by his devoted family. His legacy lives on through; his three sons, Anthony Bartucci, James Bartucci, and Charles P. His life was further enriched by his brother and sister-in-law, James and Sherri Bartucci; his sister, Donna Bartucci; his eight grandchildren, Kali, Mila, Zoey, Autumn, Scorpio, Brandi, Paul, and Robert; many great-grandchildren; his favorite nephews, Nick Stripto and Brandon Schwartzman; his favorite nurse, Carleigh Stripto; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, his beloved cat, Pumpkin, and his good friend Janet Nunamacher.

Sonny retired ten years ago from Fastrak in Middletown as a skilled mechanic, where his expertise and work ethic were highly valued. His knack for fixing things extended beyond the garage as he was known to lend a helping hand wherever it was needed in the community. Sonny's heart and home were always open, and his generosity knew no bounds.

A true patriot, Sonny loved his country deeply. He found solace in the simple pleasures of life, enjoying his Marlboro Reds and a cold Budweiser. He loved listening to Elvis. He was fond of watching old westerns, getting lost in the tales of cowboys and the open frontier. However, the greatest joy in Sonny's life was the time he spent with his grandchildren. Each moment with them was cherished, and he took great pride in their accomplishments and adventures.

Sonny's presence was a comforting constant in the lives of those who loved him. His laughter, wisdom, and unwavering support will be sorely missed. He was a pillar of strength, a beacon of love, and a testament to living life with kindness and a touch of humor.

As we bid farewell to Charles A. "Sonny" Bartucci, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of love, laughter, and lasting memories. His spirit will continue to guide and inspire us, and his memory will forever be etched in our hearts. Sonny's journey on earth may have come to an end, but his story will be told for generations to come. Rest in peace, dear Sonny. Your legacy will never be forgotten.
