Cheryl Ann Scobie-Yellen, 63, of Keansburg, passed away on Friday, August 20th, at home, surrounded by her family. She was born in Red Bank, lived in East Keansburg (Middletown), prior to moving to Keansburg 44 years ago. Cheryl worked as an assistant manager for Country Sudser Car Wash, Middletown, retiring recently after 41 years of service. The car wash was her second home and she truly loved the employees and customers as if they were her family. When Cheryl wasn’t working, she loved spending time with family and friends. She also loved her cats dearly. She was predeceased by her parents, William Scobie Sr, and Barbara Clark and her brother, Robert Scobie. Cheryl is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Joseph Sr. Of Keansburg; her son. Joseph Yellen Jr.; her daughter and son in-law, Kimberly and Jason Lee; a brother and sister in-law, William and Karen (Ackerson) Scobie Jr. of Keansburg; three sisters and brothers in-law, Gloria Scobie of Whiting, Lynn and Bill Peck of West Virginia and Sandra and Dave Godwin of Delaware; two grandchildren Jason and Kamryn; along with many nieces and nephews and extended family. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday from 3- 7 P.M. at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Avenue, Keansburg. A religious service will be held Wednesday evening at 6:30 P.M. As per Cheryl’s wishes a private cremation will take place. In lieu of flowers donation can be made in Cheryl’s memory to the SPCA
