Ellie Heitmann, 88, of Howell, formally of Keansburg, passed away on Sunday, August 29th, at her son's home surrounded by her family. She was born in Jersey City, lived in Secaucus, before moving to Keansburg forty years ago. Ellie worked for the Keansburg School District as a custodian, along with being a cashier for Dunkin Donuts and Krauser. She enjoyed doing crafts, crocheting Christmas ornaments as well as blankets and so many other things. She also loved making jewelry and the plastic rosaries for St. Ann’s Church, along with signing in the choir. Ellie is survived by her son and daughter in-law, Robert and Barbara Schlereth of Howell; her daughter and son in-law Lynn and Bill Conroy of Keansburg; her sister, Doris Minck of Franklin Lakes, NJ; 14 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and 5 great great grandchildren; her niece and Goddaughter, Ruthann Ciotti of Franklin Lakes, NJ. Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Mass at St. Ann's Church on, Tuesday, Sept 7th at 10:00am. The arrangements are under the care of Jacqueline M.
