Frank Vernola Jr.

Frank Vernola Jr., a cherished family man, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on January 20, 2026, in Middletown. Born on July 28, 1951, in Brooklyn where he was raised and lived in Staten Island, prior to moving to Middletown in 2005.

Frank was pre-deceased by his father, Frank Vernola Sr., and his brother, Joseph Vernola. His memory will be cherished and kept alive by his beloved mother, Antoinetta Vernola of Lakewood; his loving wife of 51 years, Deborah Vernola of Middletown; his two sons, Frank Vernola III and his fiancé Gina Restaino of Keansburg, and Anthony Vernola of Middletown; his daughter and son-in-law, Nicole and Christopher Tolan of Midland Park; his sister and brother-in-law, Carol and Michael Emms of Manahawkin; and his three adored grandchildren, Brett, Mina, and Frankie.

Frank's professional life was marked by his role as a project supervisor for the New York City Housing Authority, where he was known for his leadership, reliability, and the care he extended to every project. He also was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Brooklyn.

Beyond his professional commitments, Frank was a devoted father who took great joy in participating in his children's activities. He was notably involved with the Boy Scouts, where he shared his love of adventure and his values of service and leadership. He was always at his daughters soccer games and practices with his daughter Nikky. Frank's love for his family was the cornerstone of his life. He relished in the moments spent with them, whether it was a quiet evening at home or a lively family gathering. His children and grandchildren, in particular, brought him immeasurable joy and pride.

As we bid farewell to Frank Vernola Jr., we reflect on a life well-lived—a life filled with love, laughter, and the joy of giving to others. He was a man who built a legacy of kindness, strength, and devotion that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
