Heliodoro Galvan, 74, of Egg Harbor, passed away on Monday, October 31st, at University Hospital, Newark. He was born and raised in Mexico, prior to moving to the US in 1971. Heliodoro was a cook for Kelly’s Tavern in Neptune City. Heliodoro’s undying love for his wife Maria was evident. His family was the most important thing to him. He enjoyed singing and playing the guitar, he would even write songs for his wife. He loved to dance and was an avid Chivas De Guadalajara fan!
Heliodoro is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Maria Guadalupe Galvan Nuñez of Egg Harbor; his son, Joseph Galvan and Shannon Doyle of Connecticut; 4 daughters and sons in-law, Maria and Miguel Arenas of Little Egg Harbor, Jeni and Steven Tosto of Egg Harbor Twp., Lupe and Jonathan Bailey of North Carolina and Deyanira and Robert Galvan of Brick; 4 brothers; 11 grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Saturday, November 5th from 4PM to 6PM at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Avenue, Keansburg. There will be a 5:30 PM religious service, which will conclude the services for Heliodoro.
