Janel A. (Melles) Nadolny

Janel A. Nadolny, a beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2023, at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born on August 8, 1960, in Perth Amboy, raised in Colonia, prior to moving to Belford 38 years ago. Janel lived a life filled with love, laughter, and the joy she found in simple pleasures.

Janel was known for her warm and welcoming spirit, always making those around her feel loved and appreciated. She was a dedicated homemaker, pouring her heart into creating a home filled with love and warmth for her family. Countless memories were made over the games of Yahtzee.

Janel found peace and serenity at the beach, where she often spent her free time fishing or simply basking in the sun. She loved shopping and spending quality time with her family and friends. She cherished every moment spent with her grand-doggies and their unconditional love.

Janel is predeceased by her parents, Michael and Rose Melles, and her son, Nicholas Nadolny. She is survived by her devoted husband of 38 years, Mike Nadolny of Belford; her loving daughter and fiance, Lindsey Nadolny and Erin Fowlie of Matawan; her sister, Stella Melles of Keansburg; her nieces, Courtney, Melodie, and Amy; her nephews, Matthew, Elliot, Caleb, and Marc; and many other extended family members who will miss her dearly.

Janel's family will remember her as a beacon of love and kindness. Her husband, Mike, will forever cherish the love and companionship they shared throughout their 38 years of marriage. Her daughter, Lindsey, will remember her as a supportive and loving mother who was always there to offer guidance and encouragement. Her sister, Stella, will remember her as the best friend who was always there to listen and offer a comforting word. Her nieces and nephews will remember her as the fun-loving aunt who always had a smile on her face and a kind word to share.

Janel's life was a testament to the power of love, the importance of family, and the joy of simple pleasures. She lived her life with grace and kindness, always putting others before herself.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday,  July 10, 2023, from 4 pm to 7 pm. Tuesday, July 11, 2023, a religious service will be held at 10 am at the funeral home and the burial will immediately follow at Fairview Cemetery.
