Jason M. "Jae" Lee, age 46, of Keansburg, passed away on January 21, 2024, in Red Bank. Born on January 25, 1977, in Philadelphia, PA, Jae was a man whose warmth and dedication deeply touched all who knew him. Jason was raised in Holmdel in his younger years, prior to moving to Keansburg.
Jae is predeceased by his father, Daniel Lee, and his brother, Joshua Lee. His legacy continues through his beloved wife of 22 years, Kim (Yellen) Lee, and their two sons, Jason Daniel Lee and Kamryn Joseph Lee. He is also survived by his mother, Janet Eng; stepmother, Kelly Crego-Lee; brothers, Brian Lee and Brandon Lee; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended friends and family who will miss him dearly.
Jae was a man of many talents, with a career that spanned the culinary arts and retail management. He worked with passion and dedication as a chef in several restaurants before applying his skills as the assistant manager of the Lidl store in Hazlet. His work ethic, combined with his friendly demeanor, made him a beloved figure among colleagues and customers alike.
Beyond his professional life, Jae's heart was always with the community, especially the youth. He served as a former Keansburg Youth coach for both football and wrestling, where his commitment went far beyond the playing field. Jae was known for his readiness to lend a hand, his passion for shaping young lives, and his embodiment of the true spirit of sportsmanship. His influence on the young athletes he mentored will be felt for generations to come.
Jae was also an avid gamer, finding joy and relaxation in video games and the strategic world of Magic: The Gathering (MTG). These hobbies provided a delightful balance to his busy life, allowing him moments of camaraderie and competition with friends and family.
Above all, Jae cherished the time spent with his family. His love for them was the cornerstone of his life, and he adored and loved his wife and sons above everything else. The countless memories they created together will continue to provide comfort and joy to those he left behind.
Jae's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his spirit of generosity, his laughter, and the love he shared will remain as guiding lights. His life was a testament to the impact one individual can have on the lives of many.
We say farewell to Jason M. Lee, a devoted husband, loving father, caring son, and loyal friend.
