Jeffrey M. Hazeldine, known affectionately to friends and family as Jeff, passed away on August 15, 2025, at the Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune, NJ. Born on December 24, 1975, in Red Bank, NJ, Jeff’s warmth, sense of humor and infectious attitude enriched the lives of those around him for nearly 50 years. A lifelong resident of Keansburg, he was a true Titan in his community and among his loved ones.
Jeff is predeceased by his beloved big brown hound, Titan. His memory will forever be cherished by his loving family: his parents, Joseph W. Hazeldine Sr. of Keansburg; his mother, Marion Theodorakos; his brothers and sisters in-law, Joseph Hazeldine and Lisa Todd of Florida, and Timothy and Anne Hazeldine of Keansburg; his adoring nephews, Vaughan, Gage, Callan and a beloved great-nephewGage Jr.; his dear cousins, James, and Debra Hazeldine, and their family, Stefani, Missy and Mickey; the Creek Road Apartments crew; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins, and very dear friends who were all an integral part of his life.
Professionally, Jeff dedicated many years as a plant operator of American Water in Hazlet. His commitment to his work was evident through his tireless efforts and the respect he earned from his colleagues. Jeff was not only a leader at work but also within his family and circle of friends, often being the bridge and glue that kept everyone together.
Jeff's interests and hobbies painted the picture of a life lived to the fullest. He loved riding his motorcycle with friends, feeling the freedom of the open road and the camaraderie that came with it. An enthusiastic sports fan, Jeff could often be found cheering on the NY Mets and the Miami Dolphins, bringing energy and excitement to any game he watched. His love for Disney (although he would never admit it) was shared with his family during joyous trips that created lasting memories. Fishing was another passion, providing him with peaceful moments spent with friends.
At home, Jeff found happiness in the simple pleasure of hanging out with his dog, Chip, whose companionship was a source of constant joy. Jeff's family and friends will always remember the laughter he brought into their lives. His generosity knew no bounds, his loyalty to those he cared for was unwavering, and the impact he had on each member of his life was truly irreplaceable.
While Jeff's dislikes were few, they became a source of family humor, particularly his distaste for Alanis Morissette's music and the changed recipe of the black and whites at the local bakery. Even these small quirks became part of the cherished narrative of a man who loved a good joke.
Jeff's passing leaves a void in the hearts of so many, but his spirit will live on through the stories told, the memories shared, and the impact he made. His laughter, kindness, and the love he had for his family and friends will continue to resonate and inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him. Jeff's life was a testament to the beauty and depths of friendship, the strength of family, and the joy of living authentically. He will be deeply missed, but his legacy will endure in the hearts of those he touched.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Jeff's life on Saturday, September 13, 2025 from 2PM to 5PM at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals Inc. 233 Carr Ave Keansburg, NJ
