John L. Seery

John L. Seery, 80, of Hazlet, passed away on Friday, February 3rd, at Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel. He was born in Newark and lived in Union Beach before moving 15 years ago.

John graduated from Keyport High School in 1960, he was a member of the Keansburg Moose Club, and was an avid sports fan (Yankees, Giants, Rangers, and the Knicks). He loved horse racing, he would visit Monmouth Race Track and Saratoga. John enjoyed playing cards (Poker) with friends and Bingo, locally or at Foxwoods in Connecticut. John loved his favorite vacation spots, Lake George and Edgewater, Florida.

John was pre-deceased by his parents, Leo and Rose Seery, and his brother, Thomas Seery. He is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn Geiger Seery, who spent 47 years loving him and will continue to do so; his two sons and daughters-in-law, John Michael (Monica) Seery and Edward (Tanya Alexander)Seery; two grandsons, Anthony and Vincent who were the light of his life; his brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Linda Geiger; many nieces and nephews.
