Johnny Velez

Johnny Velez, 50, of Keansburg, passed away at home, on Friday, April 22,2022. Johnny was born in Paterson, on September 16, 1971, to Juan and Maria (Arroyo) Velez. He grew up in Puerto Rico and moved back to New Jersey several years ago before settling in Keansburg two years ago. Johnny enjoyed having a good time with family and friends. His family was very important to him.

He was predeceased by his father, Juan Velez in 2018.  Johnny is survived by his daughter, Brandy Jacobs of Patterson; His mother, Maria Velez of Puerto Rico; a brother, Francisco Velez of Hazlet; two sisters, Jeanette Velez of Puerto Rico and Alejandra Velez of Keansburg; his girlfriend, Sherrie Ryan of Keansburg; seven grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.   

Family and friends are invited to visit on Tuesday evening, April 26, 2022, from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals, 233 Carr Avenue, Keansburg. On Wednesday a gathering will be held at the funeral home and the burial will follow at Bayview Cemetery, Leonardo.
