Jose Mario Ramirez, aged 61, of Keansburg, passed away suddenly on July 1, 2023. Born in Distrito Federal, Mexico on March 13, 1962, Jose was a man of profound strength, courage, and love, whose life was marked by his unwavering dedication to his family, his work, and his passions.
Jose was the beloved son of the late Jose and Christina Ramirez. He was the cherished husband of Cathy Hull Ramirez, with whom he shared 26 years of marriage. Along with his wife, he is survived by his loyal dog, Lilly, who brought him immense joy and companionship. He also leaves behind his three brothers, Cesar, Hugo, and Sergio Ramirez, and his sister, Diana Ramirez, all of Mexico. He is also survived by his sister and brother in-law, Julia and Gino Plamamento. Jose's love for his family extended to his many nieces, nephews, and cousins, who will remember him as a loving and caring uncle and cousin.
Jose's work as a cook at Christian Brothers Academy was more than just a job - it was a manifestation of his love for food and his desire to bring people together. He was known for his commitment, reliability, and the warmth he brought into the kitchen. His culinary skills were not just confined to his professional life; he was equally passionate about cooking at home, creating delicious meals for his family and friends, and thereby creating moments of togetherness and joy.
An ardent sports fan, Jose's enthusiasm was contagious. Whether it was the Yankees, the Steelers, or Chivas, he was always ready to cheer on his teams. His love for sports was matched by his passion for Star Wars and classic rock music. These interests brought him immense pleasure and were a source of many lively discussions and shared moments with his family and friends.
Above all, Jose's greatest love was being around his family. He was a pillar of strength, a beacon of wisdom, and a source of constant support for his loved ones. His love for his family was unwavering and was reflected in the way he lived his life - with kindness, generosity, and a deep sense of responsibility. His presence was a source of comfort, and his memory will be a treasure that his family will carry in their hearts forever.
Jose's sudden passing is a profound loss to those who knew and loved him. His life was a testament to the enduring power of love, the strength of family, and the importance of living one's passions. His spirit, his laughter, and his love will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
