Obituary

Joseph J. Wittmann, 71, of Atlantic Highlands, passed away on Saturday, October 15th. He was born, raised and lived in Newark, prior to living in Atlantic Highlands.

 Joe was a retired maintenance supervisor for United States Post Office in Kearney. Joe was an avid dog lover and gave dozens of stray dogs a new home. He also loved his grand dog Scarlett who adored him greatly. Joe was a Mr. Fix It and could fix anything. Joe loved his family.  He was an avid Vikings fan and enjoyed going out to eat as he loved food.

 Joe was pre deceased by his parents, Karl and Mary Wittmann; and his brother, Vincent Wittmann; He is survived by his son, Joey Wittmann of Toms River; his brother, Karl Wittmann of Union Beach; his sister, Elizabeth Perricone of Union Beach; four nieces, Pamela, Angela, Colleen and Kim.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, from 5-9pm at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation will be private.
