Karen A. Pollard, 79, of Middletown, passed away on Monday, October 3rd, at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank.
Karen is a beloved mother, aunt and friend. She was born Karen A. Cuneo in Hoboken and raised
in Keansburg. She was a lifelong member of St. Ann’s Parish. Karen was a devout Catholic, who always
had a smile and a warm welcome for others.
Karen was a stay-at-home mother and a neighborhood staple. She took pride in her home and always
welcomed her children’s friends graciously. Karen was a loving and gentle soul, and her peaceful
presence will be missed by all that had the privilege to know her. She is survived by her daughter
Laureen, of Middletown. She is predeceased by her husband Edward, and her son Sean.
Karen never starred in a movie or won a Pulitzer Prize. She was simply a good person. She had a heart
full of kindness and joy. She was always the bigger person. She smiled easily, forgave readily and loved
with all her heart. The world is a darker place without her light.
Friends and family are invited to pay their respects on Monday, October 10th, from 5-8:00 pm at Jaqueline M Ryan Funeral Home, 233 Carr
Avenue, Keansburg.
