Laurie (Ueckerman) Macaluso

Laurie Macaluso,71, of Keansburg, was reunited with her beloved family on Sunday, September 11th, 2022. She was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 14, 1951. She lived in Valley Stream and Commack, Ny until moving to Keansburg in 2002.  

She worked at Shop Rite in Middletown, as a deli clerk. Laurie enjoyed going to eat at Yesterday’s Restaurant, with family and friends, she enjoyed working in her garden, talking to the neighbors and friends from her group at Stephy’s Place, along with spending time with family, and will always be remembered as a kind and gentle soul. Those that knew her will miss her dearly.  

She is predeceased by her parents, Robert and Bergit Ueckerman; her husband, Roger Macaluso in 2019, her son, Joseph Macaluso in 1997; her daughter, Mary Macaluso in 2011; and her family dog Dutchy. She is survived by her brother, Robert Ueckerman of North Caroline; two sisters and brother in-law, Elisa and Gary Grau of Massapequa, New York, and Barbara Kuhler of North Caroline; many nieces and nephews and her dog, Brandy.    

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, September 20, 2022, from 11am to 1am at Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. A religious service will follow the viewing and the internment will take place at Gate of Heaven in East Hanover.
