Linda Smith Obituary

Linda J. Smith, a cherished mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 23rd, at Laurel Bay Nursing Home, Keansburg. She was born on July 15, 1952, in Manhattan where she was raised and lived most of her life in Hazlet.

Linda's early life was spent in the bustling streets of Manhattan, where she was born to her loving parents, Walter Banks and Sylvia Kasper. She grew up in a world filled with the energy of the city, which shaped her into the dynamic and spirited person she was known to be. Linda's family was the cornerstone of her life, and while she was predeceased by her parents, her beloved son, Walter Smith and Daughter Virginia Smith; and her beloved grandson, Casey Reynolds Jr., her legacy continues through her family.

Linda leaves behind a legacy of love and dedication. She is survived by her two devoted daughters, Kelly Smith and Erin Reynolds (married to Casey), who will forever hold dear the lessons and love their mother imparted. Linda's joy was multiplied by her six grandchildren, Victor Nieves, Kayla Reynolds, Connor Reynolds, Haylee Reynolds, Theresa Reynolds, and Brielle Martin. Each grandchild was a testament to Linda's boundless love, and she reveled in their every achievement and milestone.

Linda's professional life was marked by her commitment to helping others as a Medical Receptionist for Premier Pain Management in Shrewsbury. Her kindness and willingness to go above and beyond in her role.

She was a lover of horror movies, finding delight in the thrill and suspense they offered. Dancing was another of Linda's passions, and she could often be found moving to her favorite 80's music, a genre that always brought a smile to her face and joy to her heart. Family was everything to Linda. Her happiest moments were those spent surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
As we say goodbye to Linda J. Smith, we celebrate a life lived with passion, care, and an abundance of love. Her spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to know her.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation will be private.
