Lori Ann Curtis, 64, of Keansburg, formally of Union Beach, known affectionately by all as Lori, passed away peacefully on November 18, 2023, at the Ocean University Medical Center in Brick. Born on November 19, 1958, in Jersey City, Lori lived a life full of passion, dedication, and remarkable resilience.
Lori was a beloved mother, friend, and community member, leaving an indelible mark on everyone she met. She spent her early years in Bayonne, before moving to Union Beach, and eventually settling down in Keansburg. Lori's vibrant spirit and zest for life were evident in every chapter of her life's journey.
In her professional life, Lori served her community as a bartender in Bayonne and locally at Aders, The Colony, and the American Legion. Her charismatic personality and knack for making anyone feel welcome made her a cherished figure at these establishments. Lori's infectious laughter and warm-heartedness brought a sense of comfort and camaraderie to all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Lori was a woman of many interests and passions. She had a love for motorcycles and had a unique style, often seen in her signature leather and leopard prints. Lori was an avid viewer of crime shows like Law and Order and Forensic Files and found joy in selling jewelry. She was a proud member of the American Legion Auxiliary and former color guard of Post 321 in Union Beach. Lori was also a proud member of Under My Skin For Life Foundation, contributing to her community with unwavering commitment. Lori had a special place in her heart for her pets, cherishing her cats and dogs with immense affection.
However, her greatest love was undoubtedly her three sons. Lori is survived by her loving sons, Thomas, Frankie, and Travis. Her love for them was boundless, and she was a constant source of support and encouragement in their lives. Despite the loss of her parents, Francis in 2019, and Amelia in 2014, Lori was a beacon of strength for her family, embodying the values of resilience and love that her parents instilled in her.
Lori's life was a testament to her strength of character, her unwavering faith, and her boundless love for her family. She lived her life to the fullest, touching the hearts of many with her kindness and generosity. Lori's legacy will continue to live on through her sons and in the hearts of all who knew her.
Lori Ann Curtis may have left us in the physical sense, but her spirit, her love, and her memory will forever remain in our hearts. As we mourn her passing, we also celebrate her life, cherishing the moments we shared, and the love and joy she brought into our lives. Although we say goodbye to Lori today, her spirit will continue to inspire us, reminding us of the strength of love, the joy of laughter, and the importance of community. In lieu of flowers, the family will accept donations.
