Louis J. Wierzbicky Jr., lovingly known to all as “Louie,” passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026, at the age of 70. He was born on April 26, 1955, in Queens, New York, and lived a life filled with joy, curiosity, and love.
Louie resided in Keansburg, New Jersey, with his devoted sister and primary caregiver, Karen Sanchez, his brother-in-law Joe Sanchez, and his brother Scott Wierzbicky. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Louis Sr. and Dolores Wierzbicky.
Louie leaves behind a loving family who will cherish his memory always: his sister Madeline and brother-in-law Joey Bulger of Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY; his brother Tom and sister-in-law Maureen Wierzbicky of Landisville, PA; Nancy Wierzbicky of Keansburg, NJ; James Wierzbicky of Hazlet, NJ; and many adored nieces, nephews, and great-nephews who brought him endless happiness.
Louie spent his early years in Greenpoint, Brooklyn, NY, a place that shaped his warm and friendly spirit. In 1999, he moved to Keansburg, NJ, where he truly lived life to the fullest. There, he found a second family among the friends and caregivers at Royal Adult Day Care, where he shared laughter, companionship, and countless special moments, often side by side with his beloved brother and “partner in crime,” Scotty.
Louie had the heart and spirit of a child. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life: all things cats, puzzles, Legos, collecting his treasured Hess trucks and fire trucks, and watching football. Holidays brought him unmatched excitement, with Christmas holding a very special place in his heart. Louie never met a stranger and had a remarkable way of making everyone feel remembered and valued, often recalling birthdays not only of friends and family, but even of his beloved pets.
He truly celebrated each day as a gift, filling the lives of those around him with warmth, laughter, and unconditional love. Louie’s presence was a reminder to embrace joy, kindness, and wonder in everyday moments. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know him.
Louie will be cremated and a service will be held at at Fairview Cemetery, Middletown
