Margaret Mundy, 72, of Keansburg, passed away on Sunday, October 31st, at Laurel Bay Nursing and Rehab Center, Keansburg. She was born in Brooklyn, New York, lived in Queens, prior to moving to Keansburg. Peggy worked hard her whole life. She worked many years for BBDO advertising agency in Manhattan, and owned a deli in Queens for a while. More than anything she loved spending time with and teaching all the children in her care. Peggy ran an in home daycare for many years and worked out of the house at various daycare and nannying jobs. She worked as a crossing guard for Keansburg and worked at various laundromats later in life, because she never knew how to stop working. In her free time she enjoyed bowling in leagues. She adored all of her grandkids and was immensely proud of them all. Margaret was the only girl of six kids. Having all brothers and going to Catholic school all her life made her the toughest women you could ever meet. Margaret was pre deceased by her parents, Philip and Marion Mundy, her son; David Powers and her brother Peter Mundy. She is survived by three sons; Kevin Powers, Chris Musco and Denny O’Hara, her niece; Heather Morsette who was like a daughter to her, four brothers; Jimmy Mundy, Eddie Mundy, Stevie Mundy and Tommy Mundy, fourteen grandchildren; Devon, Danielle, Christine, Ashley, Kevin, Christopher, Luca, Lisa, Isabella, Angelina, Cecelia, Johnny, Logan and Nova, three great grandchildren; Ava, Spencer and Grey, many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Arrangements were under the direction of the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation will be private.
