Maria Carattini, of Keansburg, was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on January 18, 2024, at the age of 68, in Keansburg, New Jersey. Born on August 11, 1955, in Queens, New York where she was raised, by Anthony and Rose Fiorentino.
Maria was predeceased by her beloved parents and her husband, Pete Carattini, who passed away in 1994. Her memory will be honored and lovingly remembered by her family, including her two daughters, Patricia (Paul) Sindoni and Nicole Carattini, both of Keansburg; her brother, Louis (Clara) Fiorentino of New York; and her sister, Louise Fiorentino of Pennsylvania. Maria's legacy continues through her nine grandchildren, Brianna, Angel, Amanda, Michael, Gabriel, Bella, Nevaeh, Destiny, and Tricia, and her great-grandchild, Rayonna. Also mourning her loss are her nieces and nephews, Maria Porrazzo, Roseann DeSantis,Denise DeSantis, Anthony Fiorentino and Valentino DeSantis, as well as many otherextended family. Her best friends, notably Pat Fiorentino and Florence Foronjy, both of New York.
Maria dedicated over 20 years of service as a bookkeeper at Crescent Bingo Hall. A woman of many passions, Maria's zest for life was evident in her love for trips to Atlantic City and playing the lottery. She found joy in the thrill of chances. However, her true jackpot was her family, with whom she loved to spend time. Maria's kitchen was the heart of her home, where she poured love into her cooking, gathering her family for meals and would not hesitate to chase you with the wooden spoon if needed. Maria was very proud of her Italian heritage, she had the time of her life when her two daughters took her on a trip to Italy last year.
Always on the go, her energy was infectious, and her desire to live life to the fullest inspired those around her. Maria was a very strong willed woman and took great pleasure in her role as a grandmother and great-grandmother, cherishing every moment she spent with her grandchildren and great-granddaughter. The memories created during these precious times will be treasured by her family forever.
The warmth of her love and the brightness of her spirit will continue to shine in the hearts of her family and friends.
A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Maria Carattini's family will hold her memory very close to their hearts.
The family will be accepting friends on Monday, January 22, 2024, from 3 PM to 7 PM at the Jacqueline M Ryan Home for Funerals Inc. 233 Carr Avenue Keansburg, NJ. On Tuesday, January 23, 2024, a Mass will be held at 10:30 AM at St. Ann's Church 311 Carr Avenue Keansburg and a private cremation will follow
