Michael John Brennan Sr., of Keyport, passed away on Friday, March 18th, at home. He was born in Newark, lived in Union Beach, prior to moving to Keyport eight years ago. Michael was the owner/operator of M.J. Brennan and Sons Construction for many years, after retiring from construction he went to work for the Union Beach School District, where he was a custodian for over 25 years.
He enjoyed sitting outside working on his plants and listening to the radio, along with going to flea markets and actions. Michael also enjoyed reading, art and working on model ships, but his greatest love was his beloved wife, Mickey. He also loved spending time with his family especially the apple of his eye, Liam.
Michael is predeceased by the love of his life of 51 years, Maureen “Mickey” in 2019. He is survived by his loving children, Michael Brennan Jr of Keyport and Colleen and her husband Karl Myiow of Belford; his brother; William Brennan of Washington, his grandson; Liam Gecik of Belford and his step grandson Shane Myiow. A private cremation will take place as that was Michael’s wish. The arrangements are under the care of the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Avenue, Keansburg.
