Michael P. Colangelo

Michael P. Colangelo, 70, of Hazlet, passed away on Friday, December 3rd, at John F. Kennedy Medical Center, Edison. He was born in Brooklyn, NY, lived in Rockaway Beach and Matawan, before moving to Hazlet eleven years ago. Michael was the owner operator of Shore Car Service, for many years. He loved everything about cars, he enjoyed walking at Cheesequake State Park in Old Bridge. In his younger years he enjoyed watching boxing, but his greatest love and enjoyment was taking care and being with his grandchildren.    

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Melissa (nee) Ziskind Colangelo of Hazlet; a son and daughter in-law, Erik and Andree Colangelo of Barnegat; a daughter and son in-law, Jennifer and Stephen Campbell of Hazlet; a sister, Marie Tipton of Texas; and four grandchildren, Abby, Morgan, Kinsie and Casey.  

As per Michael’s wishes, there will be a private cremation. The arrangements are under the care of the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. .
