Michael M. Folk, 75, of Keyport, passed away on Friday, May 5th, in Manalapan, New Jersey. He was born in Jersey City, raised in Weehawken, lived in Hazlet most of his life, prior to moving to Keyport in 2013.
Michael was a plant manager for Leggett and Platt in Newark. He also was a team member at Quick Check and was a volunteer fireman in Red bank.
He loved the beach especially Sandy Hook. He enjoyed horse racing and seeing the trotters. Michael loved his grandchildren. He was an avid Giants and Yankees fan, enjoyed poker, music and was an all-around great guy.
Michael was pre deceased by his parents, Michael and Rita Folk and his sister, Rita Volker. He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Michael and Sharon Folk of Leonardo; his two daughters and son in law, Colleen Folk of Highlands and Kimberly and Geoff Kelman of Manalapan; his brother and sister in law, Richard and Susan Folk of South Carolina; his sister and brother in law, Anne Marie and Joseph Monteiro of Connecticut; six grandchildren, Geoffrey, Andie, Samantha, Ethan, Michael and Patricia. His great grandchild, Noah James; his nephew and niece, Matthew and Tyra Monteiro and extended family.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation was private.
