Michael P. Pedone

Michael P. Pedone,83, of Manchester, formally of Keansburg, passed away at home on Friday, January 27, 2023. He was born on February 22, 1939, in Jersey City to the late Joseph and Rita Pedone Sr. When he was about ten years old, he and his family moved to Keansburg, where he lived all his life, until moving to Manchester in 2004. Michael served his country in the US Air Force.

After Michael left the Air Force, he went to work for the State of New Jersey as a bridge tender, retiring in 2004. He is a past member of the Keansburg Board of Education, a past member of the Goodfellows, Keansburg, a member of the teamsters local 195 and AFL-CIO, past treasurer of the State of New Jersey Department of Transportation Union. Mike enjoyed fishing, he was a devoted Mets and Giants fan, and an amazing husband, father, and grandfather, his family was always important to him. One thing he will also be remembered for was his love of cigars.

Michael was predeceased by his loving wife, Elizabeth Ann in 2022, his son, Michael in 2020, and several siblings. He is survived by his loving children, Denise (Mark) Costello of Florida and William (Susan) Pedone of Middletown; his brothers, George (Doreen) Pedone of Manchester and William McNicholas of Port Monmouth; his sisters, Patricia Brown of Manchester and Dorothy (Bobby) Gell of Manchester; six grandchildren, Bryanne Hughes, Bliss fix, Domenic Pedone, Mark Costello, Alex Costello, and Anthony Pedone; five great-grandchildren, Cameron, Miabella, Gianni, Matteo, and Anthony; and many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, from 1-4 PM at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg.
