Michael A. Thompson

Michael A. Thompson, 69, of Laurence Harbor, NJ, passed away on Friday, August 19th, at Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel. He was born in Newark, lived in Hazlet, prior to moving to Laurence harbor 12 years ago. Michael worked for Dr. Leonard’s Health Care as security. Michael was a member of the American Legion Post 23 in Keyport. He loved the beach and long walks, playing guitar and listening to music especially the Beatles.  Michael was pre deceased by his father, Fred Thompson; and his wife, Judith Thompson in 2021. He is survived by his mother, Alice Thompson of Pennsylvania; his three daughters and son in-law, Christy Thompson, Melissa Thompson and Jessie and Jay Smith all of Laurence harbor; two sisters and brothers in-law, Wende and Sam Pickens of Pennsylvania, Cheryl and Richard Lancaster of FL; and 10 grandchildren. Arrangements were under the direction of the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation will be private.
