Michael A Young

Michael A. Young, a loving father and devoted husband, passed away peacefully in Monroe, NJ, on October 15, 2023. He grew up in Mountainside, prior to moving to Keansburg in 1992. His kindness, and good humor, leaving an indelible mark on the lives of those he encountered.

Michael was predeceased by both of his parents, Richard and Laura Young, his first wife, Linda Young, in 2020, and his sister, Eva Young. He is survived by his two sons, Michael Young, and Peyton Young, and his wife Erin. His two daughters, Danielle Cocuzza and Alyssa Young, and her husband, Dan. He is also survived by his second wife, Theresa Moller Walters; Michael's sibling family includes his brother, Richard Young, and his wife, Priscilla, his sister, Beth Marasco, and her husband, Tony, and his sister Theresa Young, and her partner Donna. Michael's family was his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Michael's dedication to service was evident in his career, which began with his enlistment in the US Navy. After serving his country, Michael worked for Stop & Shop for over 20 years as a Bakery Manager. He was a hardworking, reliable, and warm-hearted individual.

A fan of the NY Mets and NY Giants, he was an avid bowler and golfer and enjoyed many sunny days at the beach. Michael’s love for the thrilling atmosphere of the racetrack, the strategic game of blackjack, and the vibrant city of Atlantic City brought him much joy and excitement.

Michael’s life was characterized by a deep commitment to his family, a strong work ethic, and a love of life's simple pleasures. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his loved ones and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

He will be fondly remembered, deeply missed, but always alive in the hearts of his family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, October 20th from 6-8pm at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg.
