Mildred “Millie” T. Cerligione, 86, of Hazlet, passed away on Wednesday, August 4, at Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel. She was born and raised in Newark, lived in Keansburg before moving to Hazlet many years ago. Millie worked for Anchor Glass, Aberdeen and after retiring she went to work for John’s Florist in Hazlet as a designer. In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting and crocheting, sewing clothes and loved to go to Bingo. She is predeceased by her daughter; Yvonne McKay, two sisters; Lea Mermini and Mary Lapato and her grandson; Nicholas McKay. Mildred is survived by her granddaughter; Meghan McKay, a great nephew Daniel Polanco and her dog Meghan. Family will be accepting friends on Saturday morning from 8 to 9 A.M. at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Avenue, Keansburg. A Mass will be held at St. Catherine’s Church, Middletown at 9:30 A.M. and cremation will be private. Millie’s ashes will be buried at Fairview Cemetery, Middletown at a later date.
