Polyhronis (Paul) G. Hatzinikitas, 84, of Middletown, passed away peacefully on February 17, 2022, Paul was born in Aperion, Karpathos Greece in 1938. In 1963 he married his beloved wife Angie and moved to the United States. Paul and Angie settled in Middletown, where they lived for many years and raised a loving family. Paul was a devoted family man who came to this country at the age of 25 and had a long successful career as a restaurateur. He was very handy and was always willing to help family and friends. He cherished his five grandchildren, who were his pride and joy. He also loved the beach, fishing and boating, and in his later years he enjoyed his annual trips back to Karpathos to the home he built for his family and future generations to enjoy.
Paul is predeceased by his loving wife Angie (2014). He is survived by his son George (Tina) of North Carolina; daughters Irene and Anna Hatzinikitas of New Jersey; grandchildren Angela, Ursala, Dina, Paul, and Niko; sisters Sophia Alexiadis and Zoe Michelis; and brothers Nikita, Manoli and Frank Hatzinikitas.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday February 21st at 10:00 am at Kimisis Tis Theotokou Greek Orthodox Church, 20 Hillcrest Rd., Holmdel, followed by a funeral mass at 11:00. Burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Middletown.
In lieu of flowers, the family will be accepting donations that will be gifted to Agios Haralambos, Paul’s hometown church in Aperion, Karpathos. This is where his beloved wife, Evangelia, rests in peace.
