Richard W "Richie" Dean Jr.

Richard W. Dean Jr., 51, of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, formally of Middletown New Jersey, passed away on Thursday December 12th, at home. He was born in Jersey City, lived in Middletown, prior to moving to Myrtle Beach 5 years ago. Richie was a self-employed contractor, he was a two time New Jersey State Golden Glove Champion, enjoyed teaching underprivileged children how to box, and was an avid Giants and Mets fan. Richard was pre-deceased by his father Richard Dean Sr. in 2010. Surviving is his devoted wife Audra of South Carolina; his mother Patricia Dean of Middletown; 2 sons Patrick and Jonathan Dean of Hazlet; his daughter Ashleigh Dean of South Carolina; his brother and sister in-law Tommy and Cara Dean of Union Beach; 3 sisters and brothers in-law Laurie and Ben Rodriguez of Hazlet, Susan Dean of North Carolina and Kelly and Mike Malley of Union Beach; many nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Family will be accepting friends on Monday 2-4 and 7-9Pm at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. On Tuesday there will be a 10:15 AM Mass at St. Ann's Church, Keansburg.
