Richard S Reed Sr.

Richard S. Reed Sr., 90, of Union Beach, passed away on Sunday, October 16th, at Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel.

He was born and raised in Newark, prior to moving to Union Beach in 1955. Richard was a custodian for the Hazlet Township School District. He enjoyed Flee Markets and Swap Meets and eating at the China Buffet.

 Richard was pre-deceased by his parents, Samuel Reed and Anna Wolf; his wife, Lorraine Reed in 2008; and his son, Wilbert Reed in 1997. He is survived by his son and daughter in-law, Jody and Dawn Reed of Keansburg; his daughter and son in-law Deborah and George Isacs of North Carolina; his son and daughter in-law, Richard and Linda Reed Jr. of North Carolina; his sister in-law, Ellie Hanson of Franklin Park; his two sisters, Mary O’Brien of Middletown and Joyce Lembo of Bayville; nine grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

 Arrangements were under the direction of the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Cremation will be private.
