Richard Zielinski 71, of Keansburg, passed away on Saturday, September 11th, Bayshore Medical Center, Holmdel. He was born and raised in Jersey City, before moving to Keansburg thirty-six years ago. Richard was a retired train conductor for N.J. Transit. He was a member of U.G.H.A. where he would remix the oldies and Doo Wop music, along with being an avid record collector, he was an avid Mets fan and enjoyed photography, but his great love was spending time with his family.
Richard is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Maureen Sullivan Zielinski; two sons and daughter in-law, Richard and Deborah Zielinski of Keyport and Michael Zielinski of Old Bridge; his daughter, Amy Zielinski of Aberdeen; three grandchildren, Alexa, Ava and Evan; two brothers and sister in-law, Charles Zielinski of Little Egg Harbor and Gary and Deborah Zielinski of Carteret; a sister, Rosemary Jasiczek of Secaucus; a sister in-law, Patricia Zielinski of Bayonne, and his best friend, Tommy Garretson of Belford. Family and friends are invited to pay their respect on Wednesday, Sept 15th from 4-8 PM at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. A religious service will conclude the evening and a private cremation will follow.
