Robert J. Ronchetti

Robert J. Ronchetti, 81, passed away July 23, 2022, at Veterans Memorial Home, Metuchen, NJ. Robert was born in the Bronx, lived in Teaneck, before settling in Hazlet in 1973. He received his Bachelor’s degree in Political Science at Fordham University and Master’s Degree at Farleigh Dickenson University. Robert belonged at the Knights of Columbus in Teaneck and transferring to Keyport 4202 after moving to Hazlet. Robert served in the US Army and was stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He worked for many years at the United Parcel Service before opening his own mobile dry cleaning delivery service. Robert coached baseball and basketball for H.Y.A.L. and was a past member of the Hazlet Board of Education. Robert was a champion horseshoe payer for many years. He enjoyed his regular poker nights with his friends at the K.o.C in Keyport and his Monday night crew in Keansburg. Robert was pre deceased by his parents, Robert and Gina Ronchetti. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Barbara and his Pride, his 3 sons, Robert (Kellie) of North Carolina, Richard (Nicole) of North Caldwell and Randall (Fiancé Kira) of Hazlet. His Joy, his grandchildren, Reese, Colin, Logan, Noelle and Robert. His brother Victor (Linda) Ronchetti; his sister, Jean Simon (Lloyd); many nieces, nephews, and cousins, especially his nephew Joey who resided with us for many years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 30th, at 11:00am at St. Benedict Catholic Church, 165 Bethany Rd. Holmdel, NJ.
