Robert “Bob” Cumiskey was called home to join his husband Harold “Hal” Place on May 20th, 2023, at the age of 72.
Robert was born on July 24th, 1950, in Newark, New Jersey to parents Thomas and Vera Cumiskey.
Robert leaves behind his brother John Cumiskey and sister Vera “Cookie” Antonucci, his son Robert (Ada) Cumiskey, and his daughters Jennifer (David) Capton and Melissa (Chris) McDowell.
Robert is survived by 11 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Robert was an avid traveler and had been found on many cruises over the years. Having lived for 25 years in Sun City Center, Florida and more recently relocating to St. George, Utah. He took every opportunity to explore his love for nature.
Robert proudly served our military in the United States Army for 20 years including being a Vietnam Veteran. He always had a way of making friends wherever he went. He enjoyed maintaining his friendships over the years as well. He was always the first to step up to help anyone in need and he will be sorely missed.
A Memorial Service will be held on June 10th, 2023, at the Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Avenue, Keansburg from 12 pm to 3 pm. The family wishes are that in lieu of flowers, please send donations in Bob's honor to the Army Emergency Relief.
