Tyler Martin Obituary

Tyler Michael Martin, known fondly as Tyler to his friends and family, passed away at the age of 29 on February 10, 2024, in Holmdel from injuries sustained from a motorcycle accident. Born on March 9, 1994, in Long Branch, he was a lifelong resident of Keansburg. Tyler was a bright light in the lives of those who knew him, bringing joy and laughter wherever he went.

Tyler grew up in a close-knit family and was deeply loved by them. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Judy and Joe Jones, and his paternal grandfather, David Martin. Tyler leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories for his mother, Doreen Durnin of Paterson; his father, Douglas Martin and stepmother Kathleen of Port Monmouth; his paternal grandmother, Prudence Vipiani of Florida; his beloved girlfriend, Rebecca Carlock of Keansburg; his adored daughter, Penelope Martin of Keansburg, who was the light of his life; his brother, Justin Martin of Keyport; two step brothers, Christopher and Nicholas Willem both of Pt. Monmouth, his 2nd dad, James Hedden of Keyport; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who will miss him immensely.

Professionally, Tyler was an electrician at McKenna Electric in Tinton Falls.
Tyler's zest for life was evident in his many interests and hobbies. He was an avid outdoorsman, embracing every opportunity to ride motorcycles, go Quading, snowboard, and fish. His love for adventure and the thrill of the ride were infectious. When he wasn't seeking adrenaline rushes, Tyler could often be found enjoying a game of Fortnight or other video games.

Above all, Tyler's greatest joy was his daughter Penelope. He cherished every moment spent with her, and she was, without a doubt, his world. His love for Penelope was evident in everything he did, and his devotion to her will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact on her life.

Tyler's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who knew him, but his spirit will continue to shine brightly in their memories. His laughter and his unwavering love for his family and friends will never be forgotten.
As we say goodbye to Tyler, we also celebrate the time we were privileged to have him in our lives. He taught us to embrace each day with enthusiasm, to love deeply, and to never shy away from adventure. Tyler's story is one of love and friendship. He will be deeply missed, but the love he shared will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.

In lieu of flowers, the family will be accepting donations for his daughter Penelope.
