Obituary

Wayne Albert Lally, 63, of Keansburg, died on Monday, September 26, 2022, with his loving wife of 30 years by his side.

Wayne was born on October 5, 1958 in Jersey City to the late Joseph and Mary Ann Lally. After he graduated High School, he joined the US Marine Corp. where he proudly served his country.

Wayne was a fighter. In his younger years, he was a 5th degree black belt of Tae Kwon Do. He was an avid Giants and Yankees fan and loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed going to the beach and fishing and has caught many huge striped bass and blue fish on the Keansburg beach. But most of all, he adored his family.

Wayne married Loretta and held close her three sons: Thomas Cappiello, Matthew Cappiello (Cheyenne), and Anthony Cappiello (Anastasia) affectionately referring to them as his “boys.” While he carried many nicknames including ‘Mo’ and ‘Hawky,’ his highest titles were husband, dad and Marine.

Even though Wayne was predeceased by his parents his sister Nancy Lally and friends, he never forgot the memories with them. He is survived by wife Loretta; his boys and his wonderful grandchildren that referred to him as ‘Grumpa.’
