Wayne was born and raised in Flushing, NY, before moving to Hazlet in 1962, where he was known and loved by many. He was a dedicated worker, spending many years as a roofer with Local 4. His craftsmanship and reliability made him a respected figure in his line of work. He always showed up with a smile and a kind word, making the job site a little bit brighter. Wayne also was a great auto mechanic and everyone knew they could always find him at the neighborhood gulf owned by his brother Al.
In his personal life, Wayne was a man of simple pleasures. He was an avid movie buff, always ready to share his thoughts on the latest films. His love of cinema was only surpassed by his love for fishing. He loved spending time on his parents boat. He also loved spending time with his great-nephews, Michael, and Thomas shooting off rockets along with his brother.
Wayne was predeceased by his parents, Joseph, and Kathleen (Nardi) Pelletier, his brother, Joseph Pelletier, and his sister, Alice Pelletier. He is survived by his brother, Albert Pelletier of Hazlet, and his sister and brother-in-law, Linda, and Wayne Geiger of Florida. He also leaves behind his beloved nieces and nephews, Faith (Richard) Adams of Florida, Tim Geiger of Seattle, and Treacy (Thomas) Foley of Keansburg, along with his great-nephews, Michael, and Thomas Foley of Keansburg.
Wayne will be remembered for his modest, kind, and caring ways. His quiet strength and gentle spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew him. He was always ready to lend a hand, share a laugh, or offer a word of encouragement. He had a way of making everyone feel valued and appreciated, and his presence will be greatly missed.
In closing, we remember Wayne not just for his deeds and actions, but for the man he was. He lived his life with kindness and a genuine love for his family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Rest in peace, Wayne A. Pelletier.
