Obituary for Charles E. Knierim

Charles E. Knierim, 77, of Hazlet, passed away on Saturday, August 8th at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. He was born in Newark, lived in Leonardo, prior to moving to Hazlet in 1993. Charles retired from Anchor Glass, where he was a forklift driver. He graduated Middletown Township North High School in 1961, he loved gardening and doing outdoor activities, Charles served in the Army National Guard, he also enjoyed doing ceramics, spending time with family and was an avid fan of the WWE. Charles was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Marge Knierim. He is survived by his wife, Cindy King Knierim; a son and daughter in-law, Charles and Renia of Missouri; three daughters, Cindy Pierce of Freehold, Jessica Knierim of Hazlet and Shanna Hemenway of Woodbridge; a brother, Richard Knierim of Keyport; a sister and brother in-law, Barbara and Robert Knierim Bungay of Florida; seven grandchildren, Rachel, Daniel, Alexii, Courtney, Amethyst, Kyle and Dominic and two great grandchildren, Evalina and Athena. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday from 10:00 AM-12:00 AM at Jacqueline M. Ryan Home for Funerals 233 Carr Ave. Keansburg. Burial to follow at Shoreland Memorial Gardens cemetery, Hazlet.
